REFLECTONE HAS finalised its contract with Lockheed Martin to provide training equipment and services to support the Royal Air Force's purchase of 25 C-130J Hercules 2 transports. The $77 million contract, is the largest in the US simulation company's history.
Reflectone will supply two full-flight simulators, a flight-training device and three maintenance trainers. The dynamic mission-simulators will include, Evans & Sutherland ESIG-3000 image generators, SEOS Displays Panorama wide-angle display systems and Harris Night Hawk computers.
Reflectone's UK subsidiary will also build a training centre at RAF Lyneham, develop computer-based training and instructional software and provide simulator maintenance and logistics support for five years.
