Aerosystems International has secured a £4.5 million ($7.2 million) contract with the RAF to supply 10 Link 11 Data Link systems to MK2 Nimrod aircraft.
The first aircraft delivery, commissioned by the Ministry of Defence Procurement Executive, is due early next year, with the rest arriving at a rate of two a month. The new Data Link system will provide a secure information system between the Nimrods and other operational units on the network, with both transmit and receive capability.
