Obtaining clear reconnaissance images even in the toughest environmental conditions is possible with the Reccelite digital system by Zeiss Optronik (Hall 2C, 24A).
The newly developed system enables the user to do everything from planning a mission through to final information evaluation.
It used a digital reconnaissance camera in a lightweight pod attached to the aircraft.

As well as having a powerful zoom lens with a large four mega-pixel focal plane, the camera is mounted on a stabilised platform to keep focus steady even during complex manoeuvres.
As a result detailed high resolution images can be captured from high altitudes.
Images can be transmitted real time to an integrated ground system where they can be viewed either as digital or infra red images.
The Reccelite system has been bought by the Spanish air force and will be in use by the end of the year.
"Reccelite has attracted a lot of interest worldwide," says Bernd Uhl, product manager.
"It is easy to deploy in a range of aircraft which will make it even more accessible."
