SriLankan/MAS codeshare - SriLankan Airlines, formerly Air Lanka, has agreed to share codes with Malaysia Airlines on flights between Colombo and Kuala Lumpur. Under the agreement, MAS is adding its code to thrice-weekly services being operated by the Colombo-based carrier.
JAS and Northwest in Japan - Japan Air System (JAS) and Northwest Airlines have begun codeshare services on two Japanese domestic routes. Northwest is adding its code to JAS-operated flights between Osaka's Kansai Airport and Okinawa and Fukuoka.
US/South Pacific venture - Air New Zealand and Polar Air Cargo have formed a codesharing alliance. The agreement covers six weekly Boeing 747 cargo flights between the USA and the South Pacific.
Emirates boosts cargo - Emirates SkyCargo has increased its freight services linking Dubai with Amsterdam and Hong Kong with the launch of a third weekly service to each destination.
