US start-up National Airlines will begin twice daily scheduled services from its Las Vegas hub to Philadelphia on 4 November. Cambodian carrier Kampuchea Airlines resumed its twice-weekly service from Bangkok-Phnom Penh on 1 September using Lockheed L-1011s following a two-month suspension. America West Airlines will add a third daily round-trip between Wichita and its Phoenix hub, operated by America West Express with 50-seat Canadair Regional Jets, on 1 October. Continental Airlines and Chile's Avant Airlines have applied to implement their codeshare agreement between New York Newark and Santiago and destinations beyond in their home countries. LOT Polish Airlines and Israeli flag carrier El Al have finalised a codeshare agreement on flights linking Warsaw and Krakow with Tel Aviv. Garuda Indonesia will launch direct services between London Gatwick and Bali on 29 September. British Airways is adding a three times daily service between London Gatwick and Hanover operated by franchise partner CityFlyer. The route, beginning on 31 October, will use ATR 72s, upgrading to Avro RJ100s next spring. The BA franchisee is also bringing forward the launch of London Gatwick-Shannon services, operated by RJ100s, to 4 October following AB Airlines' withdrawal from the route. AB, which is in administration, ceased all scheduled services this month. Delta Air Lines low-cost subsidiary Delta Express is introducing a new daily round-trip non-stop service between Islip and Tampa, Florida, from 1 December. United Airlines has launched a three-times daily service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Los Angeles, as well as a new non-stop service between Sacramento and Washington Dulles. Midway Airlines has added a fifth round trip service between Norfolk, Virginia, and its Raleigh-Durham hub. Egypt Air has cancelled a weekly service to Durban, leaving it with three return flights a week between South Africa and Egypt.
