Row 44 intends to fit Tecom and Qest's KuStream 1000 antenna to Norwegian and South African carrier Mango's Boeing 737-800s.

The in-flight connectivity provider recently selected the Ku-band antenna for installation on Southwest Airlines' massive fleet of 737s to support the carrier's high-speed Internet service.

Row 44 president Gregg Fialcowitz tells ATI and Flightglobal that the company "intends to deploy the KuStream 1000 as part of our broadband solution for NAS [Norwegian] and Mango".

Norwegian will begin installing the Row 44 system on its -800s after the summer. Mango is expected to launch Row 44 service by year-end.

Meanwhile, roll-out of the Row 44 in-flight connectivity system on Southwest's fleet has begun. "Row 44 is pleased with the progress and excited to bring this new service to Southwest's passengers," says Fialcowitz.

The first production system on a single Southwest 737 is currently in operation.
