Australia's Royal Flying Doctor Service is equipping its fleet of Pilatus PC-12 single engine turboprops with Class 2 Electronic Flight bags, selecting Navaero's t-Bag computer and display hardware.

"The Class 2 EFB will increase situational awareness, enhance operational performance and have significant cost savings," says the service, which was formed nearly 80 years ago as the first comprehensive aerial medical organisation in the world.

It offers a range of primary health care and emergency services throughout the year across an area equivalent in size to western Europe and often in climatic extremes. Last month the service received more than A$500,000 ($575,000) from the Australian government to upgrade its facility at Port Augusta, South Australia.
