Hungary is being offered two Antonov An-70 transports by Russia to help pay off its debt to Budapest. The Czech Republic will also receive the turboprop airlifter and a joint operation with Hungary as well as Poland in support of NATO is being considered. Hungary has again rejected a US offer of surplus Lockheed Martin C-130K transports as too expensive to overhaul.
