Saab’s Aerotech division has recently won a contract for maintenance on three Bombardier Dash-8s for the Swedish Coast Guard. The aircraft are due to be delivered in August and Saab will provide maintenance support for the next five years, with an option for a two-year extension. This is not the first time Saab has worked with the Coast Guard as it has maintained its CASA 212 aircraft since 1990.
