Lufthansa has signed a joint venture agreement with Thai Airways. The carriers will initially share costs and earnings on the Munich-Bangkok route, before extending the idea to Frankfurt-Bangkok flights in October. Lufthansa already has a joint venture with United Airlines on key North Atlantic routes. Meanwhile, the board of Thai Airways is reconsidering its plan to sell a 10%stake to a foreign airline. The Thai Government is reportedly leaning towards non-airline investors.
