Shenzhen Airlines' 65% shareholder, Guangdong Development Bank Holding, is planning to sell its stake through a public auction. Major airlines reportedly considering bidding include Air China, which already owns 25%, as well as Guangzhou-based China Southern Airlines. Shenzhen Airlines mainly operates domestic services with a fleet of around 25 Boeing 737s. It recently secured government approval to purchase five Airbus A320s.
