Zalupski to head Kellstrom

Kellstrom Aerospace (Hall 3, A9) has names Dennis Zalupski as president of its commercial aerospace subsidiary.

Zalupski has been with the Florida-based firm for two years as sales and marketing vice-president.

Kellstrom's principal business is the purchasing, overhauling (through subcontractors), reselling and leasing of aircraft parts, engines and engine parts

Group president and chief executive Zivi Nedivi credits Zalupski with playing a key role in reorganising and strengthening the company's commercial inventory management, sales and marketing functions during a very difficult period in the aviation industry.

"We are confident his leadership and in-depth knowledge of Kellstrom's business will enable him to successfully spearhead this important business."

Parker pumps aboard EasyJet

Parker Aerospace of the USA comes to the show basking in the glow of a recent order from thriving European low-cost carrier EasyJet.

The airline has selected Parker to provide all the engine-driven and AC motor-driven hydraulic pumps for the 120 Airbus A319s it has on order.

Each aircraft will have two engine-driven and two AC motor-driven hydraulic pumps. EasyJet also has Parker pumps on its current fleet of Boeing 737s.

The pumps supply power to all the hydraulic systems on the aircraft, including flight control and landing-gear actuation equipment.
