Singapore Airlines (SIA) is to extend its Wisemen audio- and video-on-demand (A/VOD) service to the economy class cabins of its widebody fleet from next month. SIA pioneered A/VOD service - which allows passengers to start, stop, fast-forward and rewind audio and video programming - on a trial basis on one aircraft in the premium cabins in September 1997. The service was withdrawn a year later and then reintroduced across SIA's widebody fleet in first and business classes in June1999. The airline is also expanding its film list to 50,in addition to offering 60 hours of short features and 100 CD albums.
