Avionics supplier Smiths Industries Aerospace, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, has named Jim Wasson director of technology marketing of Defense Systems North America. He was previously senior programme and business-development manager at McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems in Mesa, Arizona.
