According to a leaked report, the UK's transport ministry is considering building three new runways in the south-east of the country as a possible solution to a chronic airport capacity shortage envisaged in the region over the next 20-30 years. Until now, the controversial issue of airport expansion has only raised the need for one more runway at a London airport.
