STG Aerospace (Hall3, A26) is glowing with pride thanks to two new contract wins for its SafTGlo photoluminescent (PL) floorpath marking systems.
Turkish Airlines has bought 15 shipsets for its fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, while Malmo Aviation of Sweden has ordered nine shipsets for its regional jet fleet.
The orders come on the back of news that SafTGlo has become standard fit on the Embraer range of aircraft.
Dependability
STG Aerospace sales director Alex Muir says: "Regional jet operators demand fast turnaround and total dependability from their aircraft. We're delighted that Embraer has nominated SafTGlo as a vital component of its entire range of aircraft."
The company already has preferred supplier status with Boeing and the Embraer announcement is expected to lead to orders worth up to $10 million over the next 10 years.
Says Muir: "We're very pleased. Business is up 40% on this time last year, even with the events of 11 September. We have also recently appointed Jalux as our regional agent in Japan and Akko in Russia."
SafTGlo is a revolutionary floorpath marking system that requires no external power supply. Its photoluminescent properties means that it is a "fit and forget option" and typically costs around 20% of a comparable electrical system. It is also non-toxic and non-radioactive.
