Air Senegal has started operating international flights with new services to Benin and Ivory Coast.

The carrier's chief strategy and investment officer Jerome Maillet tells FlightGlobal that the Dakar-based carrier began services to Cotonou and Abidjan on 5 October.

FlightGlobal schedules data indicates that RwandAir, Camair-Co, Kenya Airways and Air Cote D'Ivoire operate between Dakar and Abidjan. The Cotonou-Dakar route is unserved.

Air Senegal began operating flights earlier this year. It intends to inaugurate a Dakar-Paris service next year.
