Low-cost start-up Thomsonfly is to establish its third UK base at Bournemouth. The carrier, owned by tour operator TUI, already has a base at Coventry and will start operating from Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield airport next spring. Bournemouth airport has been largely empty since plans by low-cost carrier Buzz to establish a base there were scrapped when Buzz was taken over by Ryanair in 2003.
