Thomson in Japan
Thomson-CSF's Ocean Master maritime-patrol radar has been selected by the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force for its upgrade of the Shinmeywa US-1 search-and-rescue amphibian. Developed with Deutsche Aerospace, it is the first non-US radar purchased by the Japanese armed forces, says Thomson.
