The US Federal Aviation Administration is proposing extending special training and experience requirements for pilots of Robinson R-22 and R-44 helicopters by five years to 2007. Since the release of special rules in 1995, there have been only two accidents associated with low-g manoeuvres (low rotor RPM) resulting in tailboom strikes.
