Boeing will deliver 30,072 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) tail kits augmented with an improved GPS antenna under a $609 million contract awarded on 31 March by the US Air Force. The order includes an upgrade of the JDAM GPS selective availability anti-spoofing module (SAASM). The tail kit's price tag has increased slightly since last year to $20,251. About 60% of the tail kits ordered this year are for 225kg (500lb) Mk84 warheads.
