USMC tests ADAD
The US Marine Corps has ordered a Air Defence Alerting Device (ADAD) from Pilkington Optronics, which anticipates further orders following testing and evaluation. ADAD is a passive wide-area ground-based sensor which identifies, tracks and prioritises targets from their infrared signatures.
