Varig Brazilian Airlines has named Fernando Abs da Cruz Souza Pinto director president, succeeding Carlos Willy Engels, who becomes vice-president of the administrative council. Dr Walterson Fontoura Caravajal is elected president of the administrative board, succeeding Edgard Nascimento de Araujo who has resigned for health reasons.
