Russia's Volga-Dnepr Airlines in May elected Viktor Tolmachov as chairman of the board. He has been technical director of the airline since 1991, and will continue to hold this position. Before then, he was chief constructor of the An-124 at the Antonov Design Bureau, which he joined in 1959.
