Mesa, Arizona-based Extex has begun producing replacement components for Honeywell airliner auxiliary power units under US Federal Aviation Administration parts manufacturing approvals. High-usage parts such as turbine blades, nozzles and shrouds are available for the GTCP 331, GTCP 85 and TSCP 700 APUs. KLM uk's Norwich, UK-based engineering division has signed a maintenance contract with Air France regional subsidiary Brit Air to provide scheduled heavy maintenance on its Fokker 100 fleet. The contract begins in mid-March, initially for one year, and will include C Checks, six year structure/defect rectification and modifications. Marshall Aerospace has completed C checks on five Boeing MD-11s for KLM. Each check was carried out in seven days, at its Cambridge, UK, facilities.
