New Ottawa-based charter airline Zoom Airlines has begun transatlantic charters using a leased ex-Air France Boeing 767-300ER. The carrier, formed by Canadian winter leisure tour specialist Go Travel Direct, aims to fill part of the void left by the collapse of Canada 3000. This summer, Zoom is flying from Canada to Birmingham, Glasgow, London Gatwick and Manchester in the UK. In winter, it will mainly serve the Caribbean, Florida and Mexico.
