Singapore Airlines and Vietnam Airlines have entered into a codeshare agreement covering flights between Singapore and Vietnam.
The agreement, which comes into effect 26 October, comes more than two years after both carriers first disclosed plans to collaborate.

The codeshare arrangement will see SIA place its code on Vietnam Airlines’ flights between Singapore and Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In return, Vietnam Airlines will add its code to SIA flights to Da Nang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
“Both airlines will also explore adding other destinations in their network to the codeshare agreement, as well as deepening the commercial cooperation that could offer customers more options, enhanced connectivity, and greater value,” state both operators.
Singapore Airlines is a member of Star Alliance, while Vietnam Airlines is a SkyTeam member carrier.
Vietnam Airlines is the latest Southeast Asian operator that SIA is partnering with. Across 2023 and 2024, the latter carrier has signed similar agreements with Philippines Airlines and Garuda Indonesia.
