ATR (Hall 3, B9) has changed tactics and has built an architect-designed stand instead of taking a chalet at Farnborough 2002.
ATR's stylish, minimalist showcase was created by Italian architect Stefano Gris, who has been designing air show stands for the past four years.
Gris specialises in exhibition design and teaches his subject in Rome and the US: "I don't usually visit every air show that I have been involved with, but I always come to Farnborough because it is the biggest."
‘A young company and a friendly image,' was the simple criteria that ATR had in mind when they commissioned him to design the stand. The 200m2 stand uses just two colours: orange and the ATR corporate blue.
It features a mock up of ATR's latest flight deck security solution, with a new reinforced cockpit door, which can easily be fitted on all ATR models.
