NETJETS CAMPAIGN
Fractional ownership and charter company NetJets has launched a US advertising campaign designed to help rebuild its customer base across the country, where the economic downturn has hit sales. The programme coincides with the 25th anniversary of the world's largest business aircraft operator. NetJets has an 800-strong fleet - of which 150 are operated by NetJets Europe - consisting of 13 business jet types. The company placed an order late last year for 50 Embraer Phenom 300s plus options for a further 75 light jets. Deliveries are set to begin in 2013.
PHENOM APPROVALS
Embraer has received Indonesian certification for its Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 business jets. The move signals the first validation of the Phenom 300 in Asia Pacific and boosts to 21 the number of countries that have approved its smaller stablemate. The entry-level Phenom 100 has meanwhile received Brazilian approval for its belted toilet, paving the way for operators to carry up to seven passengers. This new option will be available as a retrofit later this year.
HAWKER BASE
Hawker Pacific is planning to relocate its Singapore regional headquarters to a new $11.6 million business aircraft and customer service centre at Seletar Aerospace Park. The 9,400m2 (101,000ft2) facility will include a fixed-base operation, paintshop and dedicated line and heavy maintenance hangars. The facility is scheduled for completion early next year.
EXECUTIVE APPROVAL
US maintenance company Executive Flight has won US Part 145 approval for its Boeing Field, Seattle-based facility, paving the way for the company to provide maintenance support to a range of turbine-powered aircraft at the new 558m2 (6,000ft2) facility
