China Aircraft Leasing has agreed to purchase a Boeing 737-800 from SMBC Aviation Capital with a lease attached.

CALC did not provide any details on the aircraft’s identity, the lessee nor the consideration it will pay to buy the aircraft, citing confidentiality provisions. A stock exchange statement shows that the lease-encumbered valuation of the jet was put at $58.2 million.

The sale is expected to close by the end of the year, and will be financed by CALC’s internal resources and bank finance.

Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that CALC has six Boeing 737-800s in its portfolio of 117 aircraft, which is mostly comprised of Airbus A320 family jets.
