BOC Aviation has been identified as the seller of 15 aircraft that will form a large part of the 36 jet portfolio to be acquired by Castlelake's CLAST 2018-1 asset backed securitisation.

This corresponds with a 23 May disclosure by BOC Aviation of a portfolio sale to another lessor, which at the time was not identified. A Kroll Bond Ratings Agency report confirms that the CLAST 2018-1 portfolio includes nine Boeing 737NGs, five A320 family aircraft and one 777-300ER, which Flight Fleets Analyzer shows are all managed by BOC Aviation.

Castlelake is listed as the manager of seven aircraft to be acquired by the ABS - two Airbus A319s, four A320s and one A321.

Other lessors selling assets to the ABS include Itochu, Accipiter, Aviation Capital Group, Vx Capital Partners and DAE Capital.

Qatar Airways is also listed as the manager of four A330-200s in the asset pool.

Once all acquisitions are completed, Castlelake will act as the servicer of the portfolio.

The $911 million transaction is offering three bond tranches, which are expected to price in the coming days.

Citi is lead structuring agent and lead bookrunner, while Natixis is the liquidity facility provider.
