A Douglas DC-3 has crashed into a residential area shortly after take-off from Fort Lauderdale's executive airport in Florida.
The US FAA confirms that three people were on board and that no fatalities have been reported. However, the condition of the three people is unknown.
No other details were immediately available, although television pictures show parts of a burnt shell scattered across a road. The carcass is surrounded by the foam used to extinguish the fire.
Local reports say the flight was en route to the Bahamas. Some say the aircraft was operating a cargo flight.
