Delta Air Lines will expand its service from New York to seven US cities, and to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas beginning in March.
Delta will boost the frequency of flights from New York John F Kennedy airport to Santo Domingo and Santiago in the Dominican Republic and to San Juan in Puerto Rico, from March 2012. The carrier will operate daily flights on the routes using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The carrier will launch daily nonstop flights between New York-LaGuardia and Nassau, Bahamas, operating Boeing MD-88 aircraft on the route.
Starting June, the carrier will add new routes and increase the frequency of flights from New York-JFK to seven US cities. The destinations include Austin, Jacksonville, Kansas City, New Orleans, Milwaukee, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Delta said with a new daily flight to both Los Angeles and San Francisco, it will offer eight peak day flights to Los Angeles and six to San Francisco from JFK.
