Swiss business jet completions house AMAC Aerospace is branching into aircraft sales, with a deal to sell and support the Pilatus PC-12 in the Middle East.
Basel-based AMAC will establish a sales office in Beirut, Lebanon, from January, while a service centre will open in Istanbul, Turkey, in the second half of next year.
AMAC already operates two of the Swiss-built single-engine turboprops for an aircraft-on-ground service launched in June this year. The company flies mechanics and parts to customers' aircraft stranded in Europe.
Under the deal, Pilatus will be exclusively responsible for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey and Yemen.
