Aerospace component manufacturer Gardner Aerospace has won new contracts and extensions to existing contracts from Airbus UK.

The deals have a combined value Gardner puts at about $140 million, and build on arrangements under which it supplies Airbus with wing components and subassemblies found on A320s, A330s, A380s and A400Ms.

Gardner says the new deals give it a better idea of its likely long-term production levels, enabling it to commit to move work to manufacturing sites in Poland and India.

The A400M work, as well as manufacturing of a number of civil aircraft parts, will remain in the UK, Gardner confirms.
