HAECO profit

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering (HAECO) saw its 1997 profits edge down as margins came under pressure and the full impact of Asia's economic crisis began to be felt. Earnings of HK$320 million ($41 million) were down by 5.7%, excluding 1997's exceptional item from its venture with Rolls-Royce.
