Lewis plunge

NASA's $64 million, TRW-built Lewis remote-sensing satellite plunged into the Earth's atmosphere on 28 September. The satellite went into an uncontrolled spin four days after its launch on 22 August aboard a Lockheed Martin Launch Vehicle (Flight International, 3-9 September).
