The SIA Group has announced two senior management changes, including the designation of a new chief executive officer for SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC).

Chin Yau Seng, SIA’s senior vice president for cargo, will be chief executive of SIAEC from 1 June. He replaces outgoing CEO Ng Chin Hwee, who retires from the MRO unit after three years at the helm.

Chin has headed the cargo division since 2018, when it was integrated into SIA.

Marvin Tan, SIA’s senior vice president for customer service and operations, will take over Chin’s position as head of the cargo operation.

“I would like to thank Yau Seng for his dedicated service to Singapore Airlines,” says SIA chief executive officer Goo Choon Phong.

“He is one of the most experienced members of SIA’s senior management, and has made many outstanding contributions including the transformation of our cargo business over the last nine years. I wish him every success in his new role at SIA Engineering, and look forward to his continued support.”
