CGQ, a nonprofit organization in Quebec, has purchased a Responder unmanned air vehicle (UAV) and a portable ground control system from ING Robotic Aviation (booth 431) for aerial imagery collection as part of its geospatial research efforts.

Responder is a small vertical take-off and landing aircraft that has an endurance of 25min and can reach speeds of 39kt (72km/h), according to Ottawa-based ING.

The line-of-sight controlled aircraft can carry electro-optical, multi-spectral, hyper-spectral and thermal sensors, it says.
