The Gulfstream G600 business jet has made its first Australian appearance in the Avalon air show static park.

The new type joined two show regulars, the G550 and G650ER, at the show.

“The Asia-Pacific region continues to be one of our strongest international markets, demonstrated by tremendous regional fleet growth in the past decade,” says Gulfstream president Mark Burns.

“We particularly excited to showcase our newest aircraft, the award winning, clean-sheet Gulfstream G600, as part of its Australian debut.”

In Early February, Gulfstream pushed back certification and service entry of the G600, blaming the 35-day partial shutdown of the US government for the delay, as this impact the work of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Originally certification was scheduled for early 2019.
