Taiwan's China Airlines (CAL) has a commenced non-stop service on the Delhi-Rome route, making it the first carrier to operate a non-stop service on the route.

Instead of stopping at Bangkok on its three-times-weekly Taipei-Rome service, from 1 December the carrier will stop at Delhi instead, saving one hour of travel time, says CAL.

The carrier will operate an Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route, it says, adding that it is the only carrier to serve Delhi-Rome.
