Middle East Airlines has signed an agreement with Honeywell for cockpit technology for its new Airbus fleet.

The deal will cover 19 Airbus aircraft, including four A321XLRs, for which the airline was launch customer. The other MEA Airbus aircraft that will be fitted with Honeywell’s avionics are 11 A321neos, as well as four A330neos.

Honeywell will provide communication, navigation and safety technologies for the fleet.

“By selecting Honeywell’s full avionics suite for its latest fleet, MEA is underlining its commitment to operating some of the latest, most advanced and capable aircraft in the sky,” says Raghed Talih, head of Honeywell Aerospace in the Middle East.
