Garuda Indonesia has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737-800 aircraft under a sale and leaseback agreement with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Capital.

This is one of eight new 737-800s to be delivered to Garuda between June 2009 and April 2010, says DAE.

On 2 March 2009, Garuda and DAE signed an agreement covering the sale and leaseback of eight Boeing 737-800s.

These are the first of 25 737-800s the Indonesian national carrier has on order. The airline plans to use them on domestic and international routes.
