India gives Do-288 to Seychelles air force

New Delhi has given a Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) built Do-228 aircraft to the Seychelles, where it will serve in the maritime surveillance mission.

The aircraft is equipped with surveillance radar, a forward looking infrared system, satellite communications, and other systems, says HAL. The Indian airframer will also provide training and support.

This is the second time India has provided a HAL built Do-228 to the Seychelles. It furnished another example in 2013.

Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that the aircraft will be the fourth aircraft of the Seychelles Air Force. In addition to the other Do-228, it also has a Bombardier Dash 6 Q300, and a Harbin Y-12.
