Indian carriers carried 3.6 million domestic passengers in August, up 24% year-on-year.

Jet Airways and subsidiary Jetlite were market leaders carrying a combined 959,000 passengers, representing a market share of 26.4%, says India's Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Air India carried 600,000 (16.6% market share), Kingfisher Airlines 820,000 (22.6%), Spice Jet 447,000 (12.3%), Paramount Airways 74,000 (2%), Go Air 207,000 (5.7%), and IndiGo 505,000 (13.9%).

In regard to load factors, Air India had 59.8%, Jet Airways 70%, JetLite 72.9%, Kingfisher 68.7%, Spice Jet 73%, Paramount 84%, Go Air 80.1%, and IndiGo 79.2%.
