AgustaWestland has signed a deal with the Japan National Police Agency for two AW139 helicopters.
The contract was signed through the company's Japan distributor, Mitsui Bussan Aerospace, and the helicopters will enter service in 2014, says AgustaWestland.
AgustaWestland made the announcement at the Japan Aerospace 2012 show in Nagoya. The order brings Japan's total fleet of AW139s to 40, of which 11 are used for law enforcement.
