JetBlue Airways is planning a major expansion of its codeshare agreement with Emirates.

Beginning 26 October, the New York-based airline plans to display Emirates’ code on JetBlue flights from New York JFK to 17 destinations, most of them in the western USA, according to a document filed with the US Department of Transportation (DOT).

In addition, JetBlue intends to display Emirates’ code on nine routes from Boston, three routes from Washington Dulles, two routes from Chicago O’Hare and from San Francisco, and one route each from Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth and Seattle-Tacoma.

JetBlue’s partnership with Emirates began as an interline agreement in 2010.

In April 2012, Emirates began placing its code on some JetBlue flights, and in October 2013 JetBlue started placing its code on all Emirates flights to the USA.
