If turbulent times lie ahead for business aviation, the message is taking a while to reach the still-booming economies of the Gulf. The second Middle East Business Aviation convention, held in Dubai from 16-18 November, was three times as big as the 2007 event and it was marked by a flurry of orders for top-end business jets and a number of key infrastructure developments.

However, as elsewhere there were signs that some buyers may be holding back on orders as plunging used market values begin to put pressure on new aircraft list prices.
