The business aircraft sales brokerage Jetcraft has issued a downbeat outlook for the industry in the Middle East, suggesting the region will make up just three in every 100 business jet deliveries over the next 10 years.

However, this figure could jump considerably if the price of oil increases.

The 2016 Jetcraft Market Forecast makes its prediction based on what it calls a “conservative” estimate of a $50 barrel of oil throughout the forecast period. If the price rises to $80 – as Jetcraft believes it will – there could be “a material increase in business aircraft orders from emerging markets again”, it says.
