It’s not such a dim idea: Vision Systems has brought to MEBAA its range of what it calls “solar protection” products for business jet windows.
The French company is highlighting two products. Its electronically dimmable technology allows passengers to adjust the tint of their windows from clear to dark to regulate glare and heat while preserving the view, says the company.
Meanwhile, Vision Systems’ motorised shades – which come in smooth or pleated fabric – include braking and anti-jamming devices and can be operated in sync for the whole cabin, it says.
Vision Systems, based near Lyon, says the electronic dimmable windows offer a 30% weight reduction compared with other motorised shades on the market, while integrated electronics cuts maintenance costs, it claims.
